My research interests:
My main research interest is the investigation of quantum systems exhibiting Anderson and Many-Body localization. I am also more generally interested in ergodicity in quantum systems and in classical systems with a jamming transition.

My CV:
Since 2016 I have a postdoctoral research grant (“Assegno di ricerca”) at Università di Roma La Sapienza with G. Parisi as my postdoctoral supervisor. I am working on Many-Body localization in disordered quantum systems and on the jamming transition in systems of (classical) soft spheres.

In 2015 I obtained my PhD in Statistical Physics at SISSA (Trieste, Italy) under the supervision of A. Scardicchio of ICTP. My thesis project was about the forward approximation of the locator expansion (a perturbative expansion whose convergence imply the strongest definition of localization) as a mean field tool in the investigation of the localization transition in single- and many-body systems.

In 2013 I graduated from the Master in Complex Actions at SISSA. This is a program focused on innovative entrepreneurship and technological transfer. Four other students and me founded WeGrid – a virtual energy utility providing electric energy at a real-time, ‘efficient market’ price to the final user through fine-detailed consumption and price forecasting – which was shut down before launch.

In fall 2014 I have attended the School on Parallel Programming and Parallel Architecture for HPC (High Performance Computing) in Trieste.

During the third year of my Ph.D. course I visited Princeton University and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in the United States for three months.

I managed the SISSA Statistical Physics group’s webpage for three years.

I carried out my undergraduate studies (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) at Università del Salento (Lecce, Italy). I obtained both degrees with a final mark of 110/110 cum laude and within the statutory 3 and 2 years respectively.

In 2011 I obtained a level C2 (advanced) certification in the English language (CAE grade A).

In 2008 I created a blog (Dispensatore, in Italian) whose main feature is a series of 14 tutorials on the LaTeX typesetting language. Although it doesn’t have new content since 2011, it consistently has between 2.5K and 3K unique visitors per month.
